Bushblazers Safaris, a pioneering Kenyan tour firm, has today announced the winner of its first of its kind online holiday competition.
Trishna Morjaria, a 38-year-old housewife and her 8-year-old son, Armaan Trishna Morjaria, were named as the ultimate champions of the 2 weeklong competition at a colourful ceremony held at Bushblazers Offices at Senteu Plaza on Lenana Road, Nairobi.
“This is one of our most fulfilling moments that we have an opportunity to restore joy and confidence in a potential holiday client who was on the verge of quitting booking holidays because of her previous unpleasant experiences,” said Phyllis Mwai, Managing Director of Bushblazers.
“Through this award, we hope to restore customers’ confidence in domestic destinations and enjoy our magical Kenya tourism offerings,” she said.
Bushblazers ran the competition as part of a social media campaign seeking to engage clients into sharing their most unpleasant holiday experiences they have ever had with the aim of improving the country’s domestic tourism experience.
“Our aim was to put a smile back on the winner’s face as we believe holidays must be fun,” Ms Mwai said, referring to the online campaign.
The panel of judges received hundreds of entries, with Trishna Morjaria’s story emerging the best.
Officials at the pioneering tour company said they intended to use the competition to boost customer confidence and professional etiquette in the industry.
The occasion was graced by several dignitaries, including top executives from tourism and hospitality industry.
